About Us

That's us! Holly and Zach.

We first met in South Dakota at SDSU while Zach was perfecting his senior year and I was finishing up my first. It started with a friendly dinner, that turned into invitations to parties, to finally realizing that spending time alone wasn't so bad either. After Zach channeled his Italian roots and asked me to be his girlfriend over garlic bread and spaghetti, the first few months were great.

But Zach's graduation, and probable move out of South Dakota, loomed closer. He was going to leave in December. I still had two and a half years of school left. We avoided talking about the subject because breaking up over the distance seemed obvious for a couple who knew each other for four months tops.

And then it clicked. I could't ask Zach to stay but I could definitely go with him. We talked excitedly about it on the ride home and i'll always remember coming back into my dorm room and announcing to my roommate "We're moving to New York!"

She laughed. I don't blame her.

We moved to New York that summer and settled down quickly. I finished up my degree in marketing while Zach found a job in hospitality. Things were new and exciting but also tough and challenging. We grew a lot in these two years, both as a couple and as individuals. That's when we decided to take it another step further.

If you know us, you might be seeing the pattern here. Every year together we seem to try and outdo ourselves. First year was New York, second year we adopted Winry, and then, like clockwork, we took a walk in the park and dreamed our adventure for our third year.

Travel the world.

Of course it's a big world and since we're traveling slow, we'll need a bit more than a year and a half to see it. Our current focus is Europe, and seeing the countries where our ancestors grew up (Italy for Zach and Germany for me!)

With me writing and Zach providing you with the pictures and videos, we're hoping to bring you along on this adventure of ours.

And we can't wait to see where we can take you.
